DULUX COLOUR TRENDS 2021

With over 22 years of experience, Dulux has brought us another year of colour forecasting to the table. As 2020 has been a very different year for us all, it has, in turn, affected the way in which forecasting has been conducted. Typically the forecasts have been largely based on European design and architecture shows. As these were cancelled, forecasts had to be sourced in new ways - an exciting feat for the 2021 forecast.

Introducing Nourish, Reset and Retreat.

Nourish

"A renewed palette of warm neutrals inspires fresh interest by adding accents of yellow and green."

Drawing on nature, heroing tactility and comfort. Nourish is determined to comfort your home with simple textural and nurturing hues and admire your tranquil surrounds. Nourish is influenced by timber and soothing colours providing a balanced and rustic feel.

Retreat

"Earth-based hues create a harmonious setting to help with inspiration and creativity."

The blurring of the lines between home and work have influenced Retreat. Homes are becoming a hybrid of functionality. This palette ultimately provides for flexible living. Neutral greys are used to create a soft contemporary look - this paired with deep blue and warm white helps to balance the earthy colours.

Reset

"Life may feel a little slower, but each moment is enriched by building new connections with those around us"

The comforts of our homes help us explore vivid recollections of adventure and discovery. Throwing back to the 70s we are treated with vibrant pops of fun retro colour and nostalgia helping to brighten our outlook. Soft furnishings and decorator items work perfectly with the rich colours fo the Reset Palette.
