Camden Show... Still a Country Show

The Camden show is an annual two day event that showcases the community and history of the Camden area. With its rural charm and agricultural focus, the show itself has been a staple within the Macarthur District for over 100 years, with the inaugural show held in March of 1886.

Drawing a crowd of over 41,000 people, the show features a wide variety of events to suit the whole family. Honing in on the agricultural history of the Camden area, the show features a selection of animal judging, including Cattle, Horses, Alpacas, Goats, Poultry and Sheep. As well as animal judging, other events include farm produce, a ute shows, the woodchop, a rodeo and much more.

Being a true highlight in the local calendar, the Camden Show society asks local shopkeepers within the Camden area to decorate their shop window marking the start of the Camden Show week. Walking down the main street, you can really feel the town alive with excitement with banners hung from the streetlights, and storefronts decorated.

The country style and life style pavilion is a creative space designed to showcase classic and on trend looks for the home and garden, also including clothing, hats and accessories. The style pavilion provides a space for visitors to sit down and enjoy a break from the chaos of the show while sampling gourmet food and wine direct from the growers table.

Previously distinctive have held a spot within the style pavilion showcasing our works, our style, and our team. Rather than a typical ‘stall’ we chose to create a space within the pavilion to display our expertise in mood evoking design.

The Camden show is a great opportunity to engage with the local community and to celebrate what is truly great about our region of the world. We are looking forward to another great year of the Camden Show…. Still a Country Show.
